How you can absorb 2 to 3 times the nutrients in your vegetables just by timing when you eat them!
It’s so tough to try and get all of the right servings of vegetables. Heck, even if they are veggies and greens that we love and adore, it’s hard to make the time! How do we make time to sit down and chew all of the veggies that we are “supposed” to get it each day?
Well first, If you don’t own a Vitamix or another high powered blender which can puree veggies, you may want to look into it. It’s as close as you’re going to get to an IV drip of pure nutrients which haven’t been stripped out through the process of juicing. But that’s really not the health hack I wanted to point out, I’m more interested in telling you how you can time your veggie consumption in a way which will enable you to absorb a LOT more nutrients.
It all has to do with when you workout, or even go for a walk. Yep, it’s that simple. You see, when you go for a walk or do any kind of activity, your body becomes more sensitive to what you absorb. It’s because of something called insulin sensitivity and it can work for you or against you! What this insulin sensitivity does is make your body more receptive to nutrients that are injested into the body at that specific point in time.
Simply put, this means that consolidating your green smoothie or greens consumption to the 20-30 minute time period immediately following activity means that you’re body is going to absorb much more of the essential nutrients! After exercise is the perfect time to whip up something in the Vitamix and get a powerful infusion of greens that your body will actually use, and not waste.
